Hello darlings!!
THE FREAK OUT IS OVER!! I finished my Smut Peddler submission, WHEW!! For those who don't know, Smut Peddler is an adult anthology run by Spike of Templar, AZ fame. I illustrated a story with the writer Alice Hunt of Goodbye Chains- set in October 1957, New York City. It's an OYAJI story (mmm hot older men). Once the anthology goes up on Kickstarter, I will be sure to link it!
I'm starting the designs for reoccurring characters in Kindling and will be finishing up my outstanding commissions in the next two weeks. Kindling is going along swimmingly! I just signed my second contract - to design the characters. Chapter 1 is in the writing works, and should be delivered to me in March. I'm pretty excited about this! It looks like it's going to be pretty sweet! <3
As some of you saw, Macchina has updated again! I still don't have a set schedule for updates yet - the reason being that I want to try to get Volume 2 in print by my next convention (in May), which consists of Chapters 6-8. I need to finish thumbnailing chapter 8 to figure out exactly how long it will be and see if my goal is in any way feasible! LOL I have the chapter written out, but I'm not entirely certain how long it will be! I know we're about halfway through (probably). Once Chapter 8 is complete, I will be taking time off to compile Volume 2 for print. I am hoping to have the book in color, but that is still up in the air! Unfortunately, my current computer can't handle the large files i use for my comic (600dpi) and has lost pages on me before. If I don't get a new computer, I won't be able to color the comic pages very easily. Once the volume is page-counted, depending on how close it is to the convention, I will either print a small PoD run for the convention, and then have a Kickstarter or just flat out have a Kickstarter for the printing of Volume 2.
In other news, I want to make a PVC figure of Aiden and Perth! It's something I've wanted to do for a while, but my personal casting knowledge isn't good enough for something this complex! It's going to be of Aiden and Perth fighting back to back! More news on that once things are more than just thoughts in my head, LOL. This will probably be for the fall convention season. I'm going to probably go through Gensen Figure, who does custom orders in larger quantities. Hopefully there is enough readership/interest for me to be able to fund a run! another possible Kickstarter!
I also have two anthologies I am participating in this year, due in March. One is a constellation anthology, where I will be illustrating the constellation of The Peacock. The second is a Ghost-Book anthology, where I will have a double page spread of something ghosty! More news on that as it develops.
WHICH BRINGS ME TO CONVENTIONS
I have been accepted to exhibit at the Toronto Comic Arts Festival, May 5-6 in Toronto! SO I WILL BE THERE, a nervous American! Please stop by and say hi! This is the convention I'm hoping to have volume 2 done for! WE SHALL SEE *_____*
I'm hoping to exhibit at Otakon (as per usual) and Small Press Expo (forms already submitted)! But those are honestly the only conventions on the docket this year.
I'm going to be focusing on Macchina and Kindling, so I don't think I'll be traveling to many conventions for this year!

VERY LATE REPLY TO THIS but I just wanted to congratulate you! Honestly I feel so intimidated when I read all the stuff you're involved with. It must be the most AMAZING thing in the WORLD to have someone ASK you to be a part of their anthology... I've always secretly wanted to be good enough that someone would notice me and ask me to join something. I'M SO HAPPY for you though ;u; I wonder if it's still possible to strive to your level of amazing comic productivity and get noticed too someday xD
also... still so sad I can't go to TCAF ;n; I just... it sounds SO AMAZING. Definitely take pics *A* UGHNNFFFFFF I want macchina book 2
